T-Systems is the fifth international corporation to join the DHL Innovation Initiative, which was launched by Deutsche Post World Net.
Both companies plan to research how telematics and mobile technology can improve the efficiency of supply chains. The partners are also hoping to successfully identify new information and communications trends and to be able to assess their effects on the logistics and postal business. "We're pleased that, with T-Systems, another leading company in the industry has joined our initiative," said John Allan, Chief Financial Officer of DHL’s parent company, Deutsche Post World Net. Mr. Allan is responsible for Global Business Services on the company's board of management. "This agreement reflects the acknowledged quality and tremendous success of the DHL Innovation Initiative."
